Welcome to Rwanda! Upon arrival, meet your driver guide for a warm welcome. Begin your Rwandan adventure with a city tour of Kigali, the "Land of a Thousand Hills." Take in the cool breeze, well-lit roads, and vibrant city atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay at Classic Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
After breakfast, head southwest to Nyungwe Forest National Park, stopping at the King’s Royal Palace Museum in Nyanza. Discover the history and culture of ancient Rwanda. Continue to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay at Kembu Baherm Lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk
Start early with an exhilarating chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe Forest. Watch as these lively primates jump from tree to tree. After lunch, proceed to Uwinka overlook for a memorable canopy walk, taking in breathtaking views. Return to Kembu Baherm Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Waterfall Hike
After breakfast, explore the Kamiranzovu waterfall with a scenic forest hike. Enjoy the serenity of the forest. Dinner and overnight at Kembu Baherm Lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Karongi (Lake Kivu)
Drive to Karongi to experience Lake Kivu, Rwanda's largest lake, located in the western part of the country. Dinner and overnight at Home Saint Jean Hotel.
Day 6: Boat Ride on Lake Kivu and Relaxation
After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kivu, visiting Amahoro Island, Inyenyeri Island, and Napoleon Island. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach. Dinner and overnight at Home Saint Jean Hotel.
Day 7: Transfer to Kigali
Travel back to Kigali, a 3 to 4-hour drive. Overnight stay at Classic Hotel.
Day 8: Transfer to Akagera National Park
Depart from Kigali and drive to Akagera National Park. Settle in for dinner and overnight at Akagera Transit Lodge.
Day 9: Full-Day Game Drive
Enjoy a full-day game drive, taking in the beautiful scenery of Akagera National Park’s wetland, savannah, and woodland landscapes. Spot giraffes, buffalos, elephants, and various bird species, with a chance to see the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight at Akagera Transit Lodge.
Day 10: Walking Safari and Transfer to Kigali
In the morning, experience a guided walking safari before returning to Kigali. Dinner and overnight at Classic Hotel.
Day 11: Kigali City Tour
