About This Tour

During this four-day wildlife and gorilla trekking safari, you will have the chance to meet the rare mountain gorillas in Bwindi. This safari combines the experience of wildlife viewing in the richly endowed Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will encounter four of the Big Five game animals. Throughout the tour, you will engage in numerous adventurous activities, including gorilla trekking, forest nature walks, game drives, a stunning launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, and local community walks to meet the Batwa people who inhabit these areas. This safari allows you to explore many places in a short time.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest

Commence your four-day safari with an early departure from Kampala, with a pick-up from your hotel and accompaniment by our company guide. You will have lunch en route, then head to the northern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Upon arrival at the forest sector where you will trek either Ruhija or Buhoma, check in at your accommodation, freshen up, and then head for a community walk that will enrich your safari as you witness the traditional dances of the Batwa pygmies. The Batwa Pygmies are an indigenous group traditionally living in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwestern Uganda. They are one of the oldest indigenous peoples in Central Africa and are known for their deep knowledge of the forest and its resources. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Wake up early and report to the headquarters for a briefing, remembering to bring your drinking water and packed lunch, as you may spend several hours in the forest searching for the rare mountain gorillas. After the briefing, you will set out to track these gentle giants through thick vegetation, hiking up and down slippery slopes. Vigilance is required to hear the happenings in the forest and not scare the animals away. Continue until you are finally eye to eye with the gorillas. You are allowed an hour with them to observe and learn their habits while taking great photos for memories. Feel the extraordinary moment while with the gorillas in the dense rainforest. Return to your lodging for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may see the rare tree-climbing lions and various antelopes such as Kobs, Gazelles, and Bushbucks. Upon arrival at your lodging, freshen up and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you will see various aquatic wildlife, including crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, elephants, and a variety of birds like pelicans, African skimmers, African fish eagles, and possibly the shoebill stork on the channel banks. With a great camera, you will capture wonderful photographs to remember this experience. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and return to Kampala.

Embark on a game drive along the Kasenyi trail in search of various wildlife species in the park, including Topis, Giraffes, Kobs, Warthogs, and Buffalos, among the park’s 100 mammal species. Before noon, transfer back to Kampala, arriving late in the evening to connect to Entebbe for your flight back home.
