Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Your 8-day safari starts with a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel for the 6-hour journey, driving through Luwero and stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for thrilling rhino tracking. Enjoy lunch in Masindi before entering the park. Proceed to the top of Murchison Falls to witness the dramatic sight of the Nile River squeezing through an 8-meter gorge. Drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Ride

Rise early for breakfast at 6:30 am and depart for a morning game drive at 7:00 am, offering close encounters with lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and diverse bird life. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile. Spot Nile crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and numerous bird species as you sail towards the base of Murchison Falls. Return to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast at your accommodation, you will depart for Kibale Forest National Park. The drive is incredibly scenic, passing through villages, lush green countryside, and hills dotted with tea plantations which characterize this part of Uganda. Kibale National Park is popular for its primates like chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and red-tailed monkeys. On your chimpanzee trails, these primates are regularly seen swinging in the forest trees and feeding on wild fruits. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation for dinner and an overnight rest.

Day 4: Chimp Tracking and the Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, head to the trekking point where you will receive a briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimp trekking. Proceed to trek the chimps in Kibale Forest with an experienced ranger guide. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour with them. Return to your accommodation for rest and lunch. Later, go out for the Bigodi Swamp Walk. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, located in the Magombe swamp, is recognized for its extensive biodiversity, including several primate species and the grand blue turaco, a major attraction for bird watchers.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have breakfast and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which harbors an estimated 400 mountain gorillas—roughly half of the world’s population—including several habituated groups that can be tracked. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest and Batwa Experience

After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular, with a dramatic steeply forested landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of observing these gentle giants is an unforgettable experience. Return to your lodge for rest and later go experience the way of life of the Batwa pygmies

Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Boat Ride on the Famous Kazinga Channel

After breakfast, exit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Located at the base of the Rwenzori Mountain range, the park's diverse ecosystem includes sprawling savannah, making it ideal for big game, primates, and over 600 bird species. Arrive early enough to rest, have lunch, and later go for a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Witness concentrations of giant hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and many bird species on the water shores. An evening game drive follows before returning to the accommodation for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 8: Transfer Back to Entebbe for Your Flight

Have a relaxed breakfast at the accommodation with a spectacular view of the park. Embark on your return journey to Entebbe Airport, with en route stopovers in Mbarara town for lunch and the Uganda Equator line mark in Kayabwe for memorable photos and art pieces. Arrive late in the afternoon/evening for drop-off at the airport.
