Day 1: Transfer to Huye – Nyungwe Forest National Park

After breakfast, embark on a southwest journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park. En route, visit the King’s Royal Palace Museum in Nyanza and the Ethnographic Museum, a two-hour drive that introduces you to the history, culture, and traditional tools of ancient Rwandans. End the day with dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

Start the day with breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the guidelines for interacting with chimpanzees. In the forest, you’ll encounter chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and various bird species. Afterward, continue to the Uwinka overlook for a canopy walk through the forest, guided by a local expert.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali and City Tour

In the early morning, depart from your hotel and return to Kigali. Once in Kigali, visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial to learn about the tragic events of the 1994 Rwandan genocide through displays, writings, and audio presentations. After the memorial, enjoy a city tour before being transferred back to the airport or your hotel.
