About This Tour
Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda, covering an expansive 2,840 sq km across Amuru and Masindi districts. This safari gem is renowned for its diverse wildlife and the breathtaking Murchison Falls, from which the park derives its name. Within the park, you can encounter the famous "big 5" animals—leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and lions—as well as hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, Uganda kob, and an array of bird species including the elusive shoebill.

Expand allCollapse allDay 1: Departure from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast at 7:00 am, your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel for the 6-hour journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Drive through Luwero and stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for thrilling rhino tracking. Enjoy lunch in Masindi before entering the park. Proceed to the top of Murchison Falls to witness the dramatic sight of the Nile River squeezing through an 8-meter gorge. Drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise Experience
Rise early for breakfast at 6:30 am and depart for a morning game drive at 7:00 am, offering close encounters with lions, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and diverse bird life. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile. Spot Nile crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and numerous bird species as you sail towards the base of Murchison Falls. Optionally hike to the top of the falls for a panoramic view before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Kampala
Enjoy an early breakfast followed by a morning game drive as you exit the park towards Kampala. Look out for more wildlife in the savannah, including buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, lions, and various bird species. Depart from the park, stopping for lunch in Masindi, and continue your journey back to Kampala, arriving in the evening.
