Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Uganda to Nairobi, Kenya, in a comfortable land cruiser. This road transfer will take approximately 12 hours, allowing you to take in the changing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll check into your accommodation to relax and unwind, preparing for the exciting adventures that await over the next few days.
Day 2 : Full Day Nairobi Tour
Start your Nairobi exploration with a hearty breakfast, then depart at 8:30 am for a full day of sightseeing. Afterward, embark on a brief city tour to view some iconic Nairobi landmarks, followed by a casual lunch at a local fast-food spot. In the afternoon, head to the Giraffe Centre, where you’ll have the chance to hand-feed giraffes, getting up close with these gentle giants. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and rest.
Day 3: David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
After breakfast, begin with a visit to Nairobi National Park, where you’ll experience Kenya’s unique wildlife right on the city’s outskirts followed by a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s elephant orphanage, here, you’ll learn about elephant conservation efforts and interact with young elephants as a caretaker explains the project. Following a simple lunch at a fast-food restaurant, return to your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight.
Day 4 : Transfer to Mombasa
This morning, after an early breakfast, depart at 6.00 am and transfer to Nairobi Railway Terminus for an 8.00 am standard gauge railway Train to Mombasa. This journey takes you through a scenic country side as well as past Tsavo West and East National Parks. 2.00 pm, arrive at Mombasa Railway Terminus, met and transferred to Mombasa South-Coast – Diani Beach. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the beach.
Day 5: Mombasa City Tour
Today is dedicated to discovering Mombasa’s rich cultural heritage. Begin with a visit to Fort Jesus, followed by a stroll through the atmospheric Old Town. Explore the Spice Market, see the symbolic Elephant Tusks, and visit the serene Mama Gina Waterfront. Dive deeper into the city’s diversity by visiting a Hindu Temple and finish with an eco-tour of Haller Park. After a day full of discoveries, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Day 6: Wasini Island Excursion
Enjoy a refreshing excursion to Wasini Island, starting with a chance to swim with dolphins in the clear coastal waters. The island offers excellent spots for snorkeling, where you’ll marvel at vibrant marine life. Following your underwater adventures, savor a delicious lunch on the island, sampling local flavors. This day is perfect for enjoying Kenya’s coastal charm before returning to your Diani Beach hotel for the night.
Day 7: Day at Leisure
Spend a relaxing Christmas Day in Diani Beach, unwinding at your hotel or exploring the local area at your own pace. This day is all about relaxation and celebrating the holiday in style by the Indian Ocean.
Day 8 : Transfer to the Airport
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then prepare for your journey back to Uganda. You’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Entebbe, carrying with your unforgettable memories of Kenya’s vibrant cities, beautiful coastlines, and rich wildlife experiences.
